This search can be used to determine if an entity is currently registered with the Secretary of State. However, it is not intended to provide a name availability search. For information on checking or reserving an entity name, please refer to Name Availability for Corporations, Limited Liability Companies or Limited Partnerships.

Corporations (domestic stock, domestic nonprofit and qualified foreign corporations)
Enter the complete or partial name of the corporate record you wish to search and select "Search":

LP/LLC (domestic and registered foreign limited partnerships and limited liability companies)
Enter the complete or partial name of the LP/LLC record you wish to search and select "Search":

If you are unable to locate a record, you may request a more extensive search by ordering a status report. Fees and instructions for ordering a status report are included on the Business Entities Records Order Form. Certificates and/or certified copies can also be requested using the order form.
